It's supposed to be very tall, maybe even 9 or 10 feet tall and weigh between 700 to 1,300 pounds. It is also thought to be very shy, maybe even docile.

Some of them are growls, screams, whoops, knocks, and chatter. We do not know if the sounds that people are reporting are made by a Bigfoot or something else. A global organization called the International Society of Cryptozoology (ISC) has been created for the express purpose of studying the unknown creatures of the world, and publications like the Journal of Cryptozoology and the International Cryptozoology journal are sent out to interested parties.
Stories about Bigfoot have been told and retold for generations. In many ways, the stories about Bigfoot reflect Native American folklore. They just called them 'giant man-beasts.' Although some stories are from modern times, most traditional stories have been passed down from generation to generation. Bigfoot is said to be very shy and is generally a creature that tries to stay away from humans. He prefers to live in the depths of the forest, but if he has to come out and play, he will. Most people think of Bigfoot as a creature that appeared around about fifty years ago. However, some researchers believe that Bigfoot was around much longer than this—as early as hundreds of thousands of years ago.
P.S. I am not saying that I believe in Bigfoot. I just love the stories and hope that one day they will be proven to be true. I have been a fan of Sasquatch since I was very young and hope to one day see one. I have just begun to learn to track them and hope to one day have a chance to study the tracks that they leave behind. Additional Comments: I think that this creature is a true American enigma and should be left alone and not tried to be captured or killed. I think that a lot of people think that they are dangerous and they just want to be a part of history by shooting one. I believe that this animal is extremely rare and should not be bothered. I have never seen one, but I have heard them many times. Their cry is truly a spine-chiller.
